Subject was previously identified as Daguerre's brother-in-law,
the painter, Charles Arrowsmith who was also involved in the London
Diorama.
Grant Romer recently identified the sitter as Hippolyte Sebron, based
upon engraving of Sebron. [Romer, 4/93]
