INSCRIPTION: recto -- (stripped-in caption) title with negative information, and photographer credit. verso -- applied paper label with list of numbered titles and publisher credit; the appropriate title is indicated with red pencil.

FRAME: grey mount with square corners

NOTES: Unless it is a pirate copy, the print was made from two negatives taken Sept. 15 and Nov. 13, 1864. Two negatives were commonly used to obtain "sufficient change in position to achieve the effect of rotundity." Cataloged 3/86, GD.
