Cromer's hand) "Sépia représentant la vue du Temple de Salomon: par
Daguerre, inventeur du Diorama et de la Photographie.
Elle a servie à crée la grand vue représentée au Diorama vers 1832 à
Paris [Exactement: l'"Inauguration du Temple de Salomon" fut présentée
au Diorama en 1836 (Voir le Journal "L'Artiste."]
Legué à Mr. Mentienne ancien marie de Bry s/m par Mme. de Sainville
nièce et fille adoptive de Daguerre, morte en Mars 1900...."

[Translation, 6/97, AH] "Sepia representing the view of the Temple of
Solomon: by Daguerre, inventor of the Diorama and Photography.
It was used to dreate the large view represented in Diorama about
1832 in Paris. (Cromer) [Exactly: "The Inauguration of the Temple of
Solomon" presented in Diorama in 1836 (see the newspaper "Artist."]
Bequeathed to Mr. Mentienne former mayor of Bry-sur-mer by Madame
de Sainville niece and adoptive daughter of Daguerre, died in March
1900. (Cromer) [Writing of Mr. Mentiene, son of the friend of
Daugerre.]
