NOTES: Catalogued 1/98, DZ. Mlle. Rigny had a chateau at Bry-sur-Marne. In 1848, she collaborated with Daguerrre in constructing a diorama on the grounds of her estate, in part a response to the spirit of discontent and revolution of the times. This project provided work for residents of the area. [Stephen Pinson, 7/19/2000]
