Norma and her sister Constance were popular film stars during the teens and twenties. Norma's specialty was tearful melodramas, while Constance excelled in comedy. The sisters owned separate production companies and both retired from the screen during the transition to sound. Constance's films include Intolerance (1916) and Breakfast at Sunrise (1927). Norma starred in films such as A Tale of Two Cities (1911) and Camille (1927).
