Large special built cine camera for the three strip Technicolor
process. The camera exposes three rolls of Black & white film
simultaneiuly producing a color separation negative. Using special
printing machinery, a color dye postive print is made from these
negatives. 28 Model D cameras were produced, numbered D1-D12, D14-D29;
D13 was not assigned. The GEH example is D14.
Of the 28 cameras produced, 21 were made before WWII, 7 were post
post WWII. 11 cameras were later modified for wide screen, either
Technirama or Vistavision.
