Oak bodied Kinetoscope, with floral design on side;
2 plaques on top: "Edison Kinetoscope manufactured by Edison Mfg. Co.,
Orange, N.J. USA No. 1026" and "Patent Applied For".
Parlor motion picture viewer for continuous 50 feet of "standard" 35mm
film running at about 40 frames per second; duration of films is about
20 seconds. Rotating disc shutter with slit provides intermittent.
Shutter is 11½ inches in diameter with 1/8 inch slot.
Dimensions: 120.8cmH X 45.3cmW X 68.1cmL.
Viewing lens (peephole): 13.8cm X 10.0cm X 10cm.
