cylinder upon wood base. Similar zoetrope, spaces between mirrors act
as shutter.
Use of mirrors instead of slots in drum gives better effect of motion.
Though the cylinder is moving, "the reflection of each picture seen in
the facets of the mirror drum appeared to be stationary." (Coe: 35)
