Catalogued 1/96, DZ.
"In 1976 Barrow was invited to make a lithograph a Tamarind, the well-
known printmaking atelier at the University of New Mexico. In the
next six years Barrow made four lithographs, each considerably
different from each other and from his photographs.
The earliest, Revisions, 1976, illustrates his interest in language,
advertisements, copy machines, consumer products, and books. The
principal subject is Stonehenge, evident in four diverse examples
making reference to, or using the name of the ancient monument. The
title referes to several kinds of revision that are seen in the work-
visual revision through printmaking as a reproduction, as well as
revisions of meaning and associations, and the revision of historical
and scientific knowledge." --Inventories and Transformations; The
Photographs of Thomas Barrow--, p. 130.
