25 cameras were made in 1939 to commemerate the 100th anniversary of
the birth of photography. These cameras all have serial number 81
and are not lacquered. 200 cameras were made in 1956 to commemerate
the 200th anniversary of the Voigtländer company. These cameras are
also all serial number 81, but have a laquered finish. In 1978,
another 100 cameras were made by Viogtländer. These cameras are all
serial number 84, and have a laquered finish. The camera from the GEH
collection is from the 1956 series. The image size of the replicas is
slightly larger (92mm as compared to 80mm) than the original cameras.
There are also replica cameras made by companies other than
Voigtländer.
Most of the sources list the image size to be 94mm. The replica at GEH
