"Talbot's later cameras, made in 1839, were undoubtedly professionally
made. Most were larger, some taking negatives on photogentic drawing
papers as large as 5x7 in. They incorperated new features. Some of
the cameras had holes in the front panel, above the lens, so that the
image could be composed and focused accurately. The hole was closed
by a cork or sliding a brass plate during the exposure." (Coe, 1973).
The Talbot cameras at George Eastman House are replicas of Talbot's
original cameras made by Kodak Ltd. (TFG).
