"The camera was small and box-like, quite simple in appearence.
Inside, however, it contained a spring wind mechanism which was
coupled to the shutter release. Once the film was place in the
camera, the tongue having been threaded on the take-up spool and the
back closed, a key was used to wind the film from the supply spool to
the take-up spool. This action wound up the spring, which would then
activate the shutter and rotate the so-called supply spool, upon
triggering the release button, rewinding each exposure onto the
original spool." (Lothrop, 1973).
