"c.1953. Two versions: Civilian black or Signal Corps Model in
olive drab. For 5.5x7cm exposures on 70mm rollfilm. Designed by the
late Hubert Nerwin, formerly of Zeiss Ikon, the camera resembles an
overgrown Contax and is nicknamed "Gulliver's Contax". A few years
ago, these were scarce and highly sought. Then Uncle Sam started
disposing of them, and they are easy to find. The f4.5/2½" Ektar wide
angle is the least common lens. Often found with f2.8/4" and f4/8"
Ektar lenses, flash and Halliburton case." (McKeown, 1997).
