The Ciné-Kodak (known as the Model A after the introduction of the
Model B, July 1925) was the first motion picture camera to use
the new 16mm film. The body is made of diecast aluminum. Accepts
100' lengths of film on daylight loadable spools. A claw mechanism
provides the intermittent movement. The camera is hand-cranked,
although a battery driven motor was available for a short time.
Original model used direct vision finder, while later models used
both direct vision and waist level finder. First model had 'hinged-
door' lens cover. Ciné-Kodak outfit consisted of camera, Kodascope
projector, splicer, tripod, and screen, and sold for $335.00. Items
sold separately January 1924.
