NOTES: Catalogued 3/95, DZ. See also 81:2163:40. "...photograph of two nude women on a beach. The one sitting up is Lucia Moholy; the other on appears in other nude photos in the same series. I am not sure who it is. Verena Clay-Giedion suggested it was someone named Kaethe Achenbach, of whom I know nothing. ... I had always assumed this series was made at a nude beach in Berlin, but this date (1925) suggests Ascona because LMN and Lucia were at the Dessau Bauhaus then. [Hattula Moholy-Nagy, November 1986]
